Linden is a single-page website for a small independent restaurant or café. It is the page that gets someone to a table: the name, a reserve button, a short menu with prices, where you are, and when you are open.

The menu sits under the hero. It is split into sections, Morning, Midday, and Drinks in the sample, and each dish has a name, a short line, and a price. You edit those in content/site.json. Add a section by copying one group. Change a price by changing the text. Nothing else on the page has to move.

Below the menu: three plain notes on how to come in (walk in for lunch, reserve for supper, call for a larger group), a band for the supper nights, a Find us block with the address and a few landmarks, and hours next to a request form. The phone number stays on the page, next to the reserve button and again in the footer.

You do not start from a blank file. The download includes a small Python build script, three color presets (Honey (morning), Sage (day), and Ember (evening)), and original illustrations of a prairie town with a café storefront, a striped awning, a table out front, and a hanging sign. Swap in your own pictures when you have them.

Content lives in content/site.json. Change the name, the menu, the phone, the address, and the hours, run python3 build.py, and upload the dist folder. A finished dist folder is already in the download if you want to upload first and edit later. The README has the commands.

The reserve button points at a sample booking page. Replace it with your booking page before the site is public. The request form is a placeholder until you connect it. Point it at a form service, or remove it and keep the reserve button.

Linden is part of the Plains & Pixels family of one-page templates. This one is in Food & Drink. Every template in the family uses the same type, spacing, and button.

Linden Café in Bramble is a fictional sample business. The phone number is a 555 number. Replace both with yours.

Each preset has its own drawing, not just a new button color.
